What makes Omani frankincense different from other types?

Omani frankincense — particularly the Hojari grade from the Dhofar region — is widely considered the finest in the world. The unique microclimate of Dhofar's mountains produces a resin with exceptional purity, a complex citrusy-fresh aroma, and a clean, long-lasting burn that other origins simply cannot match.

Is your frankincense 100% natural and pure?

Absolutely. Every product at Luban Oasis is pure, raw resin — no additives, no blending, no artificial fragrance. What you receive is exactly as it comes from the Boswellia sacra tree in Dhofar, Oman.

What is the difference between the grades you offer?

We offer three main grades: Royal Green Hojari (Grade 1) is the rarest and most premium, with a pale green colour and a bright, citrusy scent. Burning & Usage

How do I burn frankincense resin?

You'll need a heat-safe burner and natural charcoal discs. Light the charcoal, let it ash over for 1–2 minutes, then place 2–3 small tears of resin on top. The resin will begin to melt and release its fragrance. Add more as needed — each piece burns for several minutes.

Do I need special equipment?

A traditional incense burner (mabkhara) and natural charcoal discs are all you need. We recommend avoiding self-lighting charcoal with added chemicals, as this can affect the purity of the scent.

How much resin should I use per session?

Start small — 2 to 3 tears is enough for most spaces. You can always add more. Less is more when it comes to premium frankincense.

Can frankincense resin be used without charcoal?

Yes! You can use an electric incense warmer or a candle-heated burner for a gentler, smoke-free experience. The aroma will be softer but still beautiful.

Storage

How should I store my frankincense?

Store your resin in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity. An airtight container or the original packaging works perfectly. Properly stored frankincense retains its quality for years.

Does frankincense expire?

Frankincense resin does not expire in the traditional sense. In fact, aged resin can develop a deeper, more complex aroma over time. Just keep it dry and away from heat sources.
